More kid fun…

This past weekend I got to play “mama” again to 3 sweet kiddos! My good friends Tyler and Kelly went on a little getaway and I stayed with their kids- ages  6, 3 and 18 months!   Spring 09 011

I always gain a lot of respect for parents through experiences like this…and find them as good parenting boot camp!  It is fun to see life through the eyes of a 3 and 6 year-old, it helps keeps things light, especially when other parts of life are stressful.

As I was pouring a glass of orange juice for myself, little 3-year-old Joshua quickly exclaimed, “Be careful Miss Karen, there is flakes in there!” “Those flakes can hurt!”  Ahh to be 3 again, and have our concerns be as simple as the annoying pulp in orange juice!Spring 09 001

We are currently in the process of adopting from Ukraine. Our submission date to the SDA is April
13th, the day after Easter. We may be bringing our two sons with us.
It is wonderful to see the work God is doing through you. We are a little nervous about traveling with our boys but don't want to leave them for such a long time.
Any ideas to make all of this work?

Hi Debbie- go ahead and send me an email address or email me directly at karensprings@gmail.com and we can discuss this more. My friends that are here right now adopting left their 2 kids at home at my advice and are very glad they did because of the emotional rollercoaster. They are having their kids brought over now that the process is smoothing out and not so dramatic everyday-- it's a lot for kids and parents to handle- especially in a different culture. Email me and we can discuss more! :)

Hi, Karen! I love the cool pic that looks like a drawing. Did you do that on your computer or with your camera?
